This film is pure emotional manipulation. The cartoonish inhuman nazi sadists in every breath, for instance. I just feel myself pushing back against a film doing this to me.
The other thing I really didn’t enjoy was the digital manipulation of the image as presented on my 4k disc, it looked really over-processed; quite distracting throughout in fact
If you want to see something thought provoking on this subject, try Mr. Klein. That film deeply affected me and I still think about it to this day.
