The Northman

On paper I really thought I’d like this. The ritualistic vibe and symbolism and whatnot; I just found it tedious though. I thought about switching off about an hour into it and the next hour and twenty was just grueling really. I didn’t think much of the camerawork or visuals; half the time it seemed like the kind of pointless camera movement you see from AI generated videos; and half of the time half of what you were seeing was computer generated and obviously so! This is the third Eggers film I haven’t really liked. So far it’s just The Lighthouse which I do like; and I really like that a lot!
