I enjoyed this film way too much; I mean it’s formulaic and predictable, yet it had me laughing all the way through and I just loved everyone in it, even the arseholes. Maybe someone slipped me an E.
This film appeals to the male fantasy of being a protector and rescuer more than anything. Pretty Woman is an analogue. My question is: is it a bad thing? That is a question by the way; intended to elicit discussion; not because I’m trying to make a point but because I’m thinking about it.
