Mad Max 2

On paper, this film has everything I hate about sequels. They’ve taken aspects of the first film and just gone extra in every way. They’ve taken the aesthetic, added absolutely loads of dramatic chase scenes and a particularly bombastic score. For some reason though it just works, like The Empire Strikes Back; it’s just great! The aesthetic, the chase scenes, the bombastic score, they’re all particularly awesome!
