Hobo with a Shotgun

This film is a full length realisation of a 2 minute trailer from the Tarantino/Rodriguez Grindhouse double feature homage/anthology thing, or however you might describe it.

I have to compare it to Machete: When Grindhouse originally came out, the trailer for Machete was just so cool and I was so excited when I found out they were making a full length film from it. I was disappointed by the end result though.

Hobo With a Shotgun has the same origin and similarly starts with a simple premise and a single character as a concept, but it carries the whole thing off to perfection. This film lives up to the vision for me; it’s kind of perfect, and I wouldn’t change anything about!

I think this is my favourite Rutger Hauer performance as well!
