Harakiri

This film builds to an incredible conclusion. It’s absolutely brilliant!

Now I haven’t read the book since I was at school (like, 30 years ago (fuck!)), and I haven’t seen the film either but the plot here made me think of An Inspector Calls, what with the central character turning up and slowly revealing the past actions and moral failings of the characters he’s confronting.

Also: “In the case of Kawabe Unenosuke, it was 5 days ago, on May the 8th”; it was at that point I realised it’s harakiri day!
