Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

This is the most beautiful film; it can bring me to tears just through its beauty. Michelle Yeoh can convey so much emotion in her restraint it’s unreal, and that brings me to tears too. When she lets go near the end of the film I’m basically a mess. I’m someone immune to the kind of emotional manipulation I see in a lot of films; tear-jerkers if you will. This film is not like like that; it’s truly beautiful!

Edit: something I’ve just realised, an hour after finishing the film; I have the 4k uhd, but I watched the blu ray disc from the box instead of the 4k! Such a shame; I’m going to need to watch it again now!
