Alien: Romulus (2024) ♥

Watched last night with Atmos (just had a stereo system last time). It doesn’t dramatically transform it, but hearing the tapping of the face-huggers’ feet going right overhead was quite cool! It’s a good film. My previous review still stands.

I’d love this just a bit more if they dropped some of the more obvious back-references, particularly the cringe ‘get away from her…’. The scene slightly before that with the zero-g/rotation has some distracting CGI, and Ash is distracting CGI, but otherwise, it’s an incredibly beautiful film with amazing sets and design, good characters, brilliant atmosphere and a decent story. The best thing since Aliens (apart from Alien: Isolation)
