2010: The Year We Make Contact

Let me ask you this: can you even imagine a sequel to 2001 that could stand on the same kind of pedestal? I understand 2001 is not everybody’s cup of tea, particularly due to the heavy use of symbolism in place of exposition, and 2010 is really the opposite, but nevertheless, can you even imagine how a sequel would be? You might say there just shouldn’t have been a sequel, and maybe you’re right, but that’s just, like, your opinion, man. I like this film and I’m glad it exists, in its own right.
